Senia de Don Pedro

La Senia de Don Pedro is a rural house built in the 15th century and completely renovated in 1992, the year it opened its doors. The accommodation, in a classic style, has a surface area of ​​700 m2, and is in an impeccable state of conservation.

This farmhouse was the holiday residence of Alfonso XIII, and retains the essence of a country manor house, both in its decoration and in all its furniture. The garden and the house are surrounded by a 3 m high wall.

The accommodation is located 1.5 km. from the town of Horta de Sant Joan and 200 m. from the Via Verda, in a privileged environment surrounded by fields and nature, and next to the Els Ports Natural Park. The house is located very close to all the assets that the area offers.

The 2,000 m2 garden and its corners are full of history and anecdotes, such as “the pillars of the ladies”
or “the fig tree of the Treasure”. La Senia de Don Pedro is a place to enjoy nature, history and tranquility
where the only noise you hear is the singing of birds. Thanks to its privileged location, our guests can enjoy
agrotourism and many activities related to nature: hiking, climbing, canyoning, etc.

It was one of the first rural houses in Catalonia and Spain, initially forming part of the accommodation group.
GÎTES de Catalunya, one of the precursors of rural tourism in the territory. In 1999, it received the Tourism Diploma
from the Generalitat of Catalonia as the best Rural House in Catalonia, and in 2009, it was recognized with the Diploma
of Tourist Quality for its excellence in services and attention to visitors.
